TIMBALAND - SHOCK VALUE
This is a two disc album, before today I never listened to the second disc. Before today I never listened to more than the same four songs:
#2 Give It to Me
#4 The Way I are
#5 Bounce
#16 Apologise
The Way I Are is a staple - part of my go crazy at the gym playlist. That song is particularly useful on the crosstrainer. Apologise reminds me of working in an office where the radio is played through the internal PA system. It played at least 6 times during the work day and I hated it. In this office, whenever there was a meeting the leftover food was dumped out with the plebs in cubicles so we could eat our emotions with a Danish or seven. Smart PA’s always over order on the good food so they don’t have to buy lunch. I always ordered food to my own taste. Being a vegan it meant you had to be crafty so the bonehead suits didn’t realise their beloved sausage rolls were absent from the boardroom table.
Of course the promise of leftover food could be unreliable so I would still eat my own lunch and then eat the extra’s. My muffin top, uncomfortably tight pants, the over zealous use of the office air-con in winter and Timbaland on the radio in brainwash proportions meant my state of mind wasn’t exactly tip top at the time. Needless to say I find most of the Timbaland album quasi depressing. Did I hear that Timbaland threatened to kill himself a few months ago? I know how he feels.
